LoKa and the Moonshiners (tropical garage psych, freak folk)
Né du désir d’explorer des territoires où se rencontrent rock garage, mutuashi congolais, musique répétitive et aussi une certaine mélancolie pop, LoKa and The Moonshiners cultive ses riffs hypnotiques dans cette vibration « voodoo » dont la flamme musicale a toujours été entretenue depuis The Seeds jusque Oh Sees. Finaliste Concours-circuit 2018, LoKa and the Moonshiners offre en concert un show à la fois rock’n’roll et envoûtant. Le groupe s’est notamment déjà produit sur les scènes du Rockerill, du Botanique ou du festival Cabaret Vert; et assuré les premières parties de groupes comme Flamingods, Vanishing Twins, The Black Lips, ou Oh Sees.
Après un single sorti sur la compilation The Psychedelic Underground Generation, leur ep 7 titres Under the big trees (déjà disponible en pre-release sur Bandcamp) sortira au printemps 2023 chez Night Leaf records (lp vinyls, cds, et plateformes digitales). Leur album suivant, intitulé Deeper, est prévu pour 2024.

Borned from the desire of exploring territories where garage rock meets Congolese mutuashi, repetitive music and a kind of pop melancholy, LoKa and the Moonshiners cultivate his hypnotics riffs in this “voodoo” vibration whose musical flame has always been maintained from The Seeds to Oh Sees.
Finalist of the belgian contest Concours-circuit 2018, LoKa and the Moonshiners perform on stage at once a rock’n’roll and mesmerizing show. Among others, the band has already played on venues such as Rockerill, Botanique or Cabaret Vert festival; and provided support act for bands as Flamingods, Vanishing Twins, The Black Lips, or Oh Sees.
After the release of the single “Innerspace #1” within The Psychedelic Underground Generation compilation, their 7 tracks ep Under the big trees (available in pre-released on bandcamp plateform) will be out on spring 2023 on Night Leaf Records (lp vinyls, cds and digital platforms). Their next album, named Deeper, is planned for 2024.
